Christmas Days - WordPress Theme Release
Posted on: Monday, Nov 12, 2007
I’m proud to announce the release of a new theme called “Christmas Days”. This theme is a season theme for WordPress created by Design Disease. The theme was created because most of us celebrate Christmas, and I wanted to make a gift to all bloggers around the world. The theme has been tested on WordPress 2.3.1 with Firefox , Opera, Safari and IE6/7. It validates as XHTML 1.0 Transitional.
Theme
Once you’ve downloaded the theme and extracted the files, upload the folder to your wp-content/themes/ directory. Next, go to the ‘Presentation’ area in your WordPress administration panel and activate the theme.
Plugins
I’ve included the following plugins with the theme (in the plugins folder):
Just upload everything in the plugins folder to your wp-content/plugins/ folder and activate the plugins from the ‘Plugins’ page in your administration panel. The plugins are customised to match Christmas Days theme.
License
This theme is released under Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License. Please keep the design credit.
The theme is Widget Ready.
Enjoy.

I just discovered I’m getting an error with when attempting to access any archive pages:
[blockquote] Call to undefined function: is_tag() …./wp-content/themes/ChristmasDays/ChristmasDays/archive.php on line 7[/blockquote]
Anyone else getting this error?

Hello again. I tested the theme and there are a few suggestions. Could you please implement the following, and email me if you do?
1. Make the main content fit a 468px ad, or 480×320 photo. (I fixed this… but not official and couldn’t alter the images)
2. Make the side bar fit a 234px ad.
Thank you.

Hi there,
Thanks for working on a seasonal WordPress Theme as the one that you’ve provided.
I did a test run and figured out that there’s a bug - In IE 6 the sidebar shifts to the bottom.
Regards!

It looks awesome — thanks for making it available!
By any chance, will you publish other similarly well designed themes which are suitable for the rest of the year?

I’m not sure where to post this tbh :P . I know people are real edgy with all the blog spam etc. I use to run a blog myself, so I’m aware of the work you actually do to keep this up :D . Anyway point is I thought I’d try and put something back into the community so I’ve written a little plugin folks might like. You can find it if you click through to my website. If you don’t like it just delete this comment. Thanks for your time.

I love this theme - but, I can’t get my photostream to display the same as yours - the six photos with spaces inbetween. I tried the various settings with the plug-in and am just not getting the same results…did you do something different with the CSS?
Thanks!

Thanks for the great theme! I absolutely love it. Is there anyway to tweak it so tha page does not have to be reloaded to display photos within a post at full size? (they are appearing as tiny little thumbnails)

First let me state that this is one of the best Xmas themes out there. and belive me. I operate 5 websites alll xmas themes all year round.
I just need alittle help on this one. How can i change the font size of the pages listed just below “days till Christmas”? they are currently just a little to small.
The holly and berries icon, how can I move that up a little so it is on the corner instead of in the pages links.
And last but not least are there plans to have a 3 column xmas theme site?
Thank you in advance your your help.

Good Job. You got a real talent for creating themes. Even this comment box, the way it was the curves around is really creative. But not only is it creative, it is still very clean looking. Good Job on you Christmas theme too.
