Ok, seems to work now. Just upgraded and went to some database troubles which I could resolve by forcing to DB to upgrade again. Going on with translating your theme to german now :-)

Get looking Theme!
I would like to know why the sidebars are not showing in the single page. And the Comments are causing a error.
If you check out the test site, you will see I added a ad in the header. Let me know if you want to know how I did it.
I will need to fix the errors and tweak it before I use it for the main site. Any help would be appreciated.

Problem: The FlickrRSS feed on the screenshots looked really good and then I installed the theme and activated that plugin and my photos look nothing like it. What tweaking did you do to get the smaller thumbnails? I’ve been looking through the CSS and it’s almost as if the css is not being called properly into that area.

Ok found another thing I was hoping you could help me with.
When there is a picture in a post with some text the end of post ends with the text and not the picture.
I makes the comments high.
Was this done on purpose , because it doesn’t look terrible.

If you use the “nice-search” plugin, your problems will be solved. Get if from http://txfx.net/code/wordpress/nice-search/. Your search result page’s URL will now look like: http://www.yourdomain.com/your-wp-folder/search/searchterm. If there is reason for pagination, the next page will be http://www.yourdomain.com/your-wp-folder/search/searchterm/page/2/ etc… and you will get the correct search result page content. You can take a look at my site to see how it works, if you want. Use “cross” as search term, it should give you 3 pages. They all display correctly. Good luck.

I absolutely love this template but I noticed a small glitch that happens when you click a category. (It happens on the demo as well.) If there is a link in the post it disappears if someone clicks one of the categories. In the demo I noticed it when you click uncategorized, second page, post titled “A post with links and 3 pages within”. But in general that happens to all my posts with links if a visiter just clicks any category that may have a link.

I am still having a problem with the comments. I have downloaded the latest and overwrote everything I had.

I am using the latest version of Wordpress, upgraded today.

The message I get is:

Not Found
The requested URL /2008/01/31/test/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any thoughts?

However, I have issues with my SEARCH function for all three blogs. I have tried using “Nice Search” plug-in but it does not work.

I typed in obvious words that are in my blogs, but I sometimes get a “The webpage cannot be found” or “404 – Not Found
Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.”

Also, I get “The webpage cannot be found” when I use SEARCH from inner pages, example, from Archives or Categories.

I hope that you can help me with this as soon as possible.

To Vijay: You can try to adjust following settings in wp-content\themes\dilectio\style.css:

#bgcontainer – width: 999px
.Header – width: 999px
.CON – width: 969px
.Footer – width: 969px

I quickly tried that, but can’t guarantee that it will not mess up alignment of various elements in the theme.

I got a question on how to add a pic in the header for the logo, here is what you put under the header section of the style.css:

Having a bit of a problem though on IE browsers. The second column under the ‘about’ section in the demo, cuts off the top half of sentences as i scroll down the screen and come back up. None of the text in the other columns are affected….

Two things:

1) the width is fixed but I still get a horizontal scroll bar when I’m running 1024×768 resolution. How would I re-size the whole thing by a pixel or two?

Wow! It’s truly STUNNING! I don’t know if I am treading to murky waters of insulting the design… but does anyone have it tweaked to have the two columns on either side of the main content?

I am REALLY looking for a great theme with the content in the middle. But this one is truly too beautiful to ignore!

I looks like formatting within comments is a bit wonky. You can’t get bulleted lists – and as I mentioned before, you blockquotes seem to eliminate any line returns within the blockquote.

Just tried to upgrade and mine works in 2.5. It’s also listed on the WP 2.5 compatible page, so it looks good.

I’m helping a friend set up her WP blog and we’re using the Dilectio WP Theme. Everything is going well except there is a repeating text error we simply can’t fix. If you surf to the site (www.theparvebaker.com) and look at the “Weekly Torah Morsel” sidebar, you’ll see that in Firefox everything looks good, but in IE the text is randomly blocked out with orange. If you use your mouse to highlight these blocked out parts, the text suddenly appears.

Do you know how to fix this? Please help, we’re at our wit’s end!

Hello, thanx for great theme.

There is small bug: there is no pagination appears after pressing any tag. It lists only 10 (or defined number) of related posts even if there are much more posts fot this tag.

For example http://hinkal.ru/tag/dagestan/
There are 24 posts for tag “daghestan” at the moment but shows only 10 of them. Is there any idea how to fix this?

Hallo, this is a great theme. I have just started using it last night. But i noted that wordpress blog stat is not working with this theme. It shows the hit being zero even though I am sure there are visitor to my blog today.

. some selectors in the css file like (.TrackList) are not used
for what they are placed in the style.css ?

I deleted page-navi function from theme’s function.php and added WP-PageNavi plugin. Only css styles should be restyled.

I am having trouble with the dates showing up on the posts. Does anyone else have this problem? How do i fix that?

@Mike Ndegwa to edit the sponsored listings go to Dahboard > Design > Theme Editor > Sidebar.php and find line. It begins the AdSense code which you may edit, delete or replace the google_ad_client to your AdSense client number to display your ads.

LOL.. I was just going through this theme and playing around with the comments form because captcha was aligned below the post button.. and then i saw it. The innocuous little comment “// if you delete this the sky will fall on your head”…roflmao.. that has got to the funniest thing I have seen all day.. even funnier than watching news anchors comment on current politics.

Its indicative of a bug that perhaps took you ages to discover and when you finally found it, you added that cheeky little comment in..

Pawel – I have a sneaking suspicion that no one reads this blog for issues. My issue is with the formatting within blockquote tags being stripped out – so no lists or returns. I mentioned this in MARCH – still no response.

@Speener Wow, so i guess i shouldnt waste more time and hire someone to look into the theme code and do it that way. Kind of sucks.
I was expecting a little more help from the creators. At least say you (the creators) dont deal with theme issues anymore so people will not ask and wait for ages.
I still think its great theme thought.

Regarding my issue: its embarrassing to say, but sth went wrong when i updated WordPress and i had 6 META widgets and thats why i sow 6 times “Login, Entries, Comments, WordPress” panel. I didnt checked it before and that was my issue. So terrible me.

I am having the same issue as Tracy…

I absolutely love this template but I noticed a small glitch that happens when you click a category. (It happens on the demo as well.) If there is a link in the post it disappears if someone clicks one of the categories. In the demo I noticed it when you click uncategorized, second page, post titled “A post with links and 3 pages within”. But in general that happens to all my posts with links if a visiter just clicks any category that may have a link.

Any solutions for this? My blog is currently up on a test server at:

OK – no matter what I do, Dilectio theme shows up just beautifully in Firefox – but looks just terrible in IE Explorer?

The image icon that displays the date of the post is pushed over towards the right in IE only – and covers up part of the posting headline and some of the other items like the author and category.

I’ve tried disabling all plug-ins, I’ve tried turning all all extra things on the sidebars – still can’t get it fixed? Does anyone have ANY idea or had this experience with it?

Oh – I might add – I did a fresh download and upload of the theme to see if THAT would fix it, but it did not. When I see the theme used by other folks – it’s working and displaying just fine.

Can something in an actual posting cause this to happen (see post above)?

OK – never mind. Managed to repair it all on my own. Had sometihing to do with a Wordpress file that got corrupted. Nothing to do with the theme (or any other theme, for that matter!).

We have a problem with theme and our extension for voting posts(postrating). Postrating extension works really well on firefox but it is not working both in ie6 and ie7. Another site that use the same wp version with a different theme works fine with the same postrating extension. Can you suggest us anything.

Hi I tried to switch to this theme, but upon doing so, I got this error:

now I can’t even access the admin area to switch back. any idea how to fix this? I’m using wp 2.6.2

i like this design alot , but i haven’t been on the computer in like years and i dont know how to get this theme on my blog

So i do want text to be wrapped around the images, but I want to enable both left and right wraps. However, after deleting the img codes, texts only starts where the image ends and doesn’t wrap anymore (if that makes sense…) Can anyone please help?

I have a question. I want to remove the far right sidebar and keep only the left text area (where I post my articles) and the sidebar that contains the “About”.
How can I remove the far right sidebar so I can increase the text area for my articles?
If you see my blog, you will notice I was able to remove the far right sidebar, but I was not able to increase the writing area.

I love this theme and was wondering if you have html coding enabled in the comments?

I’m using this gorgeous theme on my daughter’s Journey through Leukemia site. I did change it to a two column version to focus on the content a bit more.

Problems:
As mentioned in another comment, images are a bit odd at times. Example of a post with an image and no text Example of funkiness with an image used as a divider – this one also required an in-post border=none even though the CSS for img states that already.

Do you have any suggestions as to why this would be happening? I’m fairly fluent in CSS and WordPress but this one has me stumped.

Sorted. I followed these instructions:

Go on Administration Panel > Settings > flickrRSS and you will see 2 inputs for HTML Wrapper.
Place in the first box and close it in the second one

I love this theme. Are you planning on making it Wordpress 2.7 capable? In particular, having the threaded comments capability would be great!

Hi, I have been using your theme since May and I love it! I’ve made a few stylistic changes to meet the needs of my blog and my preferences. However, I recently noticed that it is reacting wrong in I.E. 7: the sidebars end up on the bottom only in the single post view; the other pages and the main page shows the sidebar normally.

I normally use firefox 3.0.5 and don’t see any problems. I’ve been scanning the code and trying to find the problem without success. Any suggestions?

I have been trying to use this theme with wordpress 2.7 and about every 12 hours it kicks back to the plain blue wordpress default theme. Just a heads up that that 2.7 isn’t liking this pretty theme – which sucks ’cause I really liked it. hopefully an update to it soon!

I seem to be encountering the same problem wherein only the 10 recent posts under the tag is displayed (example, this is supposed to have 37 posts). Excellent theme. I am using this theme but I improvise it a bit.. have a look if you want.. I am not done yet with the changes but it works fine now.. However, the only question I have for you is, how do you change the font to the font of your blog as of now?

Hy, i very like this design, th color combination is very nice. I know this theme because my friend used it. I very like “About this blog” section, with orange-red color, very nice.

What a beautiful theme- I just downloaded it and installed it on WP 2.8, but am at a loss as to how to edit the “about” orange section and the sponsors section. I assumed it was in sidebar one, but nothing shows. When I add widgets to sidebar two, the default widgets are erased. Could this be a WP2.8 problem or am I missing something? (sorry, I’m not much of a techie…)

For those that want to use Wordpress.com Stats and are not getting any stats to show up, I’m no expert but it seems that you should add this code to the footer (footer.php):

This is used for addons that need code inserted into the footer of the theme. Such as statistics software! I’ve yet to see the results, but I’m confident this was the problem.

Ok so pasting that code does not work. Check the FAQ of the Wordpress.com Stats plugin, apparently more people have the same problem.

Beautiful Theme, however there is a bug with Buddypress under WPMU.

if the theme is activated, the buddypress bar at the top of the page disappears. I don’t know if this is because of a script, html or or the css.
It works fine with the other themes from designdisease.

If anybody could shed some light into this I’d greatly appreciate it.

However, I installed the dilectio for my self hosted wp blog but then realized that when i activated the theme, the wordpress stats plugin doesn’t work anymore. I dont know if the theme is compatible with that plugin. I am using wp v 2.9.2
