i’m new to wordpress, how can i put the horizontal menu tab below the header like yours?

because mine only have 1 tab which is “Home” only.
i want to include some other tabs like “about me” , “links” and etc, can teach me how i can make the menu tab?

For everyone who wants to make it a fixed width:

Just create a div called, say “boxer”, and add this to style.css:

#boxer {
margin: 0 auto;
width: 800px; (or whatever you want)
}

Then insert the #boxer div into the header.php before the #header div. Then end the #boxer div at the very bottom of the footer.php.

And there you go :)

I have one thing to ask. How is it that I am able to change the default date and time on the top? I have set my localtime to UTC+8 but the one shown on the top is still the UTC.

This is a beautiful theme. I am using an edited version of this on my website. To everyone who is using this make sure you use the fixed width as Josh mentioned above or it will look messed up in 800×600 resolution.

Also the black cloud thing doesn’t appear over “Home” when you’re on the main page, anyone know how to fix this?

Best theme yet! One problem I have though: I love inline comments and since you don’t use the wp_get_comments tag it can’t work with any inline comments plugins or any reply to comments plugins, which are a big deal on a lot of sites. Could you possibly fix the comments.php so we can get some inline comments with replies?

I noticed you are missing the “javascript” directory in the theme, which should include the file “tabs.js”. This slows down the pages a lot.

I would love to be able to use Relevenssi but I think the theme is not allowing it to work at all. And could you please change the comments.php file to something using the standard wp_comments tag so that it works with comment replies? Or at least integrate replies in there? It’s a great feature to have on a site and the use of different tags in this theme makes it impossible to use inline comment replies.

Best WP theme i’ve found so far. My only concern is how to make it so that front page posts parse and show a summary? Right now it shows the entire post instead of a summary…for super long posts it’s quite a bit to show on the front page.

There’s somethinf in the footer of the Evidence theme (which I use and love) that isn’t compatible with it :-(

I had to fix an issue with the Evidens Dark theme for WordPress. When entering text in the comments box the text is not readable because it had the same color as the background!

To fix this, first locate the following line in the style.css file:

.comments-form textarea { border: 1px solid #383f42; background: #2a3033; padding: 4px; width: 98%}

Then, add the CSS property “color: #A4A7A7″ so that the result should look something like this:

.comments-form textarea { border: 1px solid #383f42; background: #2a3033; padding: 4px; width: 98%; color: #A4A7A7}

Hope this helps people out.

I really love your work, and Evidens is probably one of the best wordpress themes I’ve ever seen.

Unfortunately, I can’t used it on my blog because the posts don’t show up and I can’t figure out what’s wrong as any other theme works without problems. Does anyone had a similar issue or has any advice?

I have dowloaded it and installed but there’s some error. maybe the compatability of my OS. In some OS it’s so ok.

I was having the same problem with Evidens where in the Comments Form, the text color was the same (or close) as the background color of the TextAreas and the Input fields. I also had to change these lines in the CSS file as well:

For both .comments-form INPUT, AND .comments-form TEXTAREA, I had to add a:

color: #A4A7A7;

to those entries so I could see the text rendered in Safari and Firefox. It may be that this isn’t an issue for Internet Explorer, but I haven’t tested that browser yet.

Is there any way to switch the grey sidebar with the white one so that the grey one is in the middle? I love the look of this theme and cannot wait to switch my blog over after I figure this out!!!
