Evidens is a new 3 column, full width theme from Design Disease. Featuring both White and Dark variations, this modern/industrial theme is both elegant and edgy at the same time. The three column layout is perfect for adsense and text link integration. The design features ample space for your blog content, making sure you have room for the latest widescreen web video, as well as bright, beautiful images. Advanced options like Flickr Photostream and Twitter integration allow you to keep up with the latest social networking trends, and update your site’s content anywhere, anytime.

A special feature of this theme is the logo changer. You can use the default WordPress setting (“blog name”) or you can use your own logo. Compositio – WordPress Theme

We have finally done it! After a long time, we are releasing a brand new theme called Compositio. As some of you know, we name our themes based on Latin. Compositio is a two column theme, made to for those who want to put their content at the front with a unique light blue design. Random square shapes are the defining graphics of this theme. They are used throughout the background, bringing a special rhythm to the theme.

A special feature of this theme is the logo changer. ( Thanks to Munzir Rosdi). You can use the default WordPress setting (“blog name”) or you can use your own logo. Upload your logo in the root folder of Compositio theme and name it logo.png. You can also use the PSD Logo Template in the source folder of Compositio Theme. (Image limitations: No more than 590px/85px).

If you want to activate this option go to: Administration Panel > Appearance > Logo Options, and select logo type.

The theme is widget ready so you can use it as you like. Also we customized the CSS for the default widgets to match the site style better.

The theme is using a few plugins, with some already integrated into functions.php, so there is no need to install them. The only plugin you need to install manually is FlickrRSS. (FlickrRSS plugin is in the theme folder) (see the demo).

An old friend of mine came to me a few weeks ago, asking for a simple design for his new site – TOP.ORG

I was happy enough with the design (and he really loved the logo too) that I decided to join the Web design & graphics section. Maybe a few others can join and we can have a friendly competition (and the site has a lot of categories to choose from).

Fervens Theme

Fervens is the name for the new theme i made for my friends from Smashing Magazine. What is Fervens and what does it mean? As you might know, I give all my themes Latin names because I believe they are more practical and more brandable. They just feel right to me.

Fervens is a 3 column theme that has a base idea of “freshness”. Summer is my favorite time of year as it always amazes us with a rainbow of sensation and colors, making this time of year the best of all. The green of the plants and trees, the blue of the water….I love this time of year :)

I tried with this new theme to get something from that “freshness” and make it work on the web, specifically on wordpress, my favorite(and hands down the greatest) blog platform. Because I couldn’t agree with Vitaly regarding the column positions we decided to make 3 versions of it, Fervens A (Sidebar 1, Central Column, Sidebar 2), Fervens B (Sidebar 1, Sidebar 2, Central Column) and Fervens C (Central Column, Sidebar 2, Sidebar 1).

Main features of the theme

3 columns of fixed width
widget-ready — two sidebars (both sidebars are supporting widgets, but I recommend to use the smaler one.
the theme is using 3 plugins; 2 of them are integrated into functions.php, so there is no need to install them. These plugins are Gravatar, Recent Comments and FlickrRSS. You can use the last one to present your Flickr images in a Flickr Photostream (see the demo).

Go on Administration Panel > Settings > flickrRSS and you will see 2 inputs for HTML Wrapper.
Place in the first box

and close it in the second one

Sky, Land and water

Sky, Land and Water, this is Design Disease’s new face. I have been working on this new face for about 3 months. Finally, after I tried many different forms and fonts, I came up with this underwater world.

I have also made some domain blog changes. My original URL for the blog was on another address and now it is inside of the original domain and with a single design.

After my last post, I have learned what my weakest points are (marketing, communication, language barrier,) and I hope in the near future to see some improvements. Even though I felt undermarketed, I still did a few major projects, like blogflux.com, minnesota.com, ibegin…and so on.

Regarding what some of you might be interested, free wordpress themes, I have some projects with some friends and partners, but those will be public when the time is right. Just a hint, the next 2 themes will be called “Albeo” and “Fervens”.

I need to apologize to those who post comments on this blog and haven’t got an answer. I promise I will be more watchful from now on.

I am not marketed enough

For the last few months I discovered my weakest point and that is communication through this blog. Not being a native English speaker moved all my attention to design and design only. I thought this is enough but it isn’t so and this is my conclusion …I am not marketed enough (See other Blog Designers) …and this is all my fault.

Are you agree with me on this? Should I start selling Premium Themes? I would like to know what do you think about my work and if you theme lovers have any advices for me.
