About DesignDisease

DesignDisease may be known for having created extremely popular WordPress themes, but we also publish a high profile web and graphic design blog with a focus on aesthetics, tutorials, inspiration, the web, and the myriads of topics that fall in between.

We strongly believe in the online design community and this is our way to give back to the community that has been so generous to us over the years. DesignDisease is currently owned by James Vincent and co-managed by Jon Phillips.

What Can I Expect To Find Here?

We pride ourselves in running a useful site and writing articles that are at the same time thought-provoking and insightful. We publish tutorials, inspiration galleries, opinion pieces as well as articles as a frequency of 2 to 3 per week.

Colophon

The DesignDisease website was planned and wireframed using Balsamiq and designed using Adobe Fireworks as well as Photoshop. It was coded on a Mac using the very simple but effective TextEdit. This site makes use of some vendor-specific CSS properties, CSS3, media queries, as well as some HTML5.

Most of the headlines and some of the text is set in the gorgeous Proxima Nova (and sometimes Condensed) typeface. The main content area and the sidebar also feature Verdana and Georgia.

We try to provide designs imbued with style while giving usability and web standards the attention they deserve.

We ensure that the HTML, CSS and JavaScript that powers your design loads fast and is ready from the get go with markup that helps your search engine rankings.

We are of course proud WordPress users!

Our offline printing needs and business cards are provided by MOO.
